Coronavirus: Find out which ZIP codes in Miami County have most cases

Troy, which is Miami County’s largest city, also has reported the most coronavirus cases in the county since the pandemic began, according to an interactive map of COVID-19 data by ZIP code.

Miami County, which has reported 4,373 cases since the pandemic began, remains at red level 3 on the color-coded Ohio Public Health Advisory System for “very high exposure and spread” of the virus.

The county also has reported a cumulative 68 deaths and 271 hospitalizations related to the coronavirus, the Ohio Department of Health reported Wednesday. Thursday’s daily numbers will be reported Friday due to the Thanksgiving holiday.

Although the county as a whole is experiencing a surge in cases, some areas have been hit harder than others since the pandemic began.

The top five ZIP codes for coronavirus cases in Miami County are: 45373 (Troy); 45356 (Piqua); 45371 (Tipp City); 45318 (Covington); and 45383 (West Milton), according to the ODH’s ZIP code map for the county. Together these five ZIP codes account for 3,979 cases, nearly 91% of the county’s cases.
